Funerals

Love is …….. coming together to celebrate a life lived, to find solace in shared memories and say good-bye with respect and love.

Planning a funeral service can be a daunting task, especially when you are grieving.

So imagine a service where every word spoken, every moment shared and every gesture made is a heartfelt tribute to the person you love. As a civil celebrant, I can create just that - a meaningful service that reflects your loved one’s character and life.

After contacting me, we will arrange to meet and chat about your wishes and cherished memories to enable me to write a bespoke ceremony, which can include readings, music, symbolic gestures and silent reflection. After your approval, I am then ready to deliver a loving farewell.

“Love is stronger than death even though it can’t stop death happening, but no matter how hard death tries it can’t separate people from love. It can’t take away our memories either. In the end life is stronger than death”

Traditionally civil ceremonies were conducted in the chapel of a crematorium and still are, but there are many more options that are not often considered. This can give you more freedom from a time restricted slot. So many are now choosing to have the service at home, in a garden or at a venue such as a hotel or village hall were they can have refreshments after the service whilst close family members attend the committal at the crematorium.
